My aunty works with the elderly and requested a Poppy to wear to work. She wanted it to be quite large.
I found this free pattern on Pinterest http://pin.it/oTdO4Bf which was perfect but I only had 8 ply yarn. To compensate for this I only did rows 1-4 on the petals.
It's a shame red is so hard to photograph as I love how it turned out.
