Disclosure Policy

In order to comply with the FTC laws about bloggers getting paid for various stuff, I am putting together this disclosure policy.

If you are reading my blog or visiting to get free patterns, you should be aware that my blog makes money in a variety of ways. This helps me keep the patterns free for you to use and you don't pay a cent. This is because third parties (business and ad networks) cover the tab for you. Win, win situation really.

This arrangement allows me to stay home with my two children (3,4) while contributing to our family financially which is something I have always wanted to do. I love writing patterns and sharing this wonderful craft with you. In order to do this, all I ask is that if something comes up that interests you or that you would buy anyway, please use my links. This is how I am compensated for my time at no extra cost to you.

Each post that contains affiliate links/banners will have small disclosure at the top to ensure you are informed before going any further. Here are some of the ways that I am compensated as a blogger.

1. Affiliate Programs: Some affiliate programs and affiliations include but are not limited to ShareASale, Craftsy, Leisure Arts, Creativebug, PicMonkey and Amazon. When you purchase through one of these links I get compensated in a very small way for it. You don't pay any more than you would buying it directly from the site and the compensation I receive goes towards bringing up my children. Also you don't have to purchase the product that is linked to, any purchase counts after clicking the affiliate link.

2. Sponsored Posts: These can include but are not limited to reviewing crocheting classes, project kits and sharing my experience with you. They could also include giveaways and posts about special discounts. Compensation for these include being paid for each post and receiving some products/classes for free.

All product reviews will be for companies I already love, use and am willing to endorse. If I don't like a product it will not show up on my blog.

3. Ads: The ads you will see on this blog include Google Adsense and InfoLinks. I do not personally endorse the products and services advertised in these ads.

Amazon requires this statement:

www.knotyournanascrochet.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com

  1. I am OK with the links or advertising which appear but, how can I make a copy of the free pattern without it printing out 100 pages, etc. Must all the advertising which sometimes prints right over the pattern itself have to be copies along with the pattern Please advise. Thank you
