Gauge:
4 sc and 4 rows = 1 inch
Row 1: Dc into the 6th ch from the hook (the 6 skipped ch’s count as 1 dc, ch 2), (dc, ch 2, dc) into each stitch across. (50 ch 2 spaces)
Materials:
8 ply yarn. I used Moda Vera Marvel. Any yarn will work though just be aware your flowers might turn out a different size. My measurements are as follows:
Large Flower: 6 inch diameter, uses approx 35 grams of yarn.
Medium Flower: 4 inch diameter, uses approx 18 grams of yarn
Small Flower - 2 inch diameter, uses approx 4 grams of yarn
5.00 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
Patterns:
Medium Flower:
Ch 55,
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *6 hdc into ch 2 space, sc into next ch 2 space* Repeat 5 times. *8 dc into next ch 2 space, sc into next ch 2 space* Repeat 10 times. *10 tr into next ch 2 space, sc into next ch 2 space* Repeat 10 times. (Total of 25 shells)
Scroll down for assembly.
Small Flower:
Ch 25,
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *6 hdc into ch 2 space, sc into next ch 2 space* Repeat 10 times. (Total of 10 shells)
Assembly:
Finish off, starting from the end with the hdc shells (this will become the centre of the flower), roll into a spiral shape, stitching together as you go. The size of your flower will depend on how tightly you do this so keep this in mind when stitching together.
Beautiful rose! :)
