I hope everyone had fun with part one. If you missed it don't worry you can still join in on the rest of it as each part is separate. You are now able to share the photo's of part one in the group. I look forward to seeing them.
Materials:
3.5 mm crochet hook
8 ply/dk or 10 ply/light ww yarn in a Christmas colour. I
used yellow but any colour would work.
Yarn needle
Scissors
Optional: Ribbon and glue.
Notes:
Popcorn Stitch (pc) – Work 5 dc into the same stitch and
pull up a loop. Remove hook from loop and insert into the top of the first dc
from front to back. Grab the dropped loop and pull through the stitch.
Ch 2 does not count as a dc throughout pattern.
Pattern:
Starting with a magic circle or ch 3 and join with a sl st
to make a loop,
Round 1: Ch 2, *pc, ch 2* x 5. Join to the top of the first
pc with a sl st. (5 pc)
Round 2: Sl st into ch 2 space, *pc, ch 2, pc, ch 2* into
each ch 2 space around. Join to the top of the first pc with a sl st(10 pc)
Round 3: Sl st into
ch 2 space, *pc, ch 5, sl st into the 3rd ch from the hook, ch 2, pc
into ch 2 space, ch 1, sc into the next ch 2 space, ch 1* x 5. Join to beginning of round with a sl st.(10 pc, 5 sc)
Finish off and weave in ends. Block/stiffen into shape. You can attach a ribbon or ch loop for hanging.
Finished measurements – 4 x 4 inches
