Christmas MCAL Part One

 

This MCAL is now finished, here is part one revealed.

Materials:

 

3.5mm crochet hook

8ply/dk or 10ply light ww yarn in green, yellow and brown

Yarn needle

Scissors

Optional: Glue gun and ribbon

 

Note: ch 2 counts as an hdc

 

With Green yarn,

 

Row 1: Ch 17, hdc into the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across (16 hdc)

Row 2: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 13 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (14 hdc)

Row 3: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 11 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (12 hdc)

Row 4: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 9 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (10 hdc)

Row 5: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 7 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (8 hdc)

Row 6: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 5 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (6 hdc)

Row 7: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next 3 stitches leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (4 hdc)

Row 8: Ch 1,turn, sl st into the first 2 stitches, ch 2, hdc into the next stitch leaving 1 stitch un-worked at the end. (2 hdc)

 

Finish off with green and join yellow between the ch 2 and hdc in row 9. *Ch 4, sl st into same space between stitches* repeat 3 times. Finish off with yellow.

 

Turn piece upside down. You are now working in the bottom of the beginning ch. Join brown in 7^th stitch from the right side.

 

Row 1: Ch 2, hdc into the next 3 stitches (4 hdc)

Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc into the next 3 stitches (4 hdc)

 

Finish off and weave in all ends. Attach ribbon/yarn ch loop to top to hang. Feel free to decorate. A few idea's would be adding some cute buttons or surface slip stitching a garland.

 

Finished measurements – 4 x 3 inches
