If you want your square to look more open like mine then use US trebles. If you want it to look like the picture in the pattern use UK trebles (US double crochet)
To make this an 8 inch square, follow pattern until round 5.
US sc,
Round 6: Join yarn in any corner. Ch 1, *(2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) into corner, sc in each stitch and each ch* Repeat around.

To make this an 8 inch square, follow pattern.
Round 6: *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into each corner, ch 1, 3 dc in each ch 1 space.* Repeat around.
66th Granny Square
UK TERMS
To make this an 8 inch square, follow pattern.
Round 6: *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into each corner, ch 1, 3 dc in each ch 1 space.* Repeat around.
Repeat until square measures 8 inches.
