ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I am learning a lot with your tutorials. Hugs from Córdoba, Argentina.
ReplyDeleteThis is ADORABLE...thanks SO much for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter (and I) love this! It is super cute and a nice Valentine's day hat! Thank you for sharing! Rhondda
ReplyDeleteOn round 6 for the toddler size, do you mean to say 4 hdc and then 2 hdc in the same stitch or 14 hdc and 2 hdc in the same stitch?
ReplyDeleteHi there, 14 is correct as we only need to increase to 64.
ReplyDeleteHello. Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous pattern. I have five granddaughters and this has solved my problem of what to get them for Valentines!! You are marked one of my favorites!!! Take care. Jeanine
ReplyDeleteLove this! I linked to it on moogly this morning! :) http://www.mooglyblog.com/valentines-day-crochet-patterns/
ReplyDeleteHow do you do the curly braids? I didn't see that in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteHi there, these are the instructions in the pattern for the curly braids
DeleteCh 1, turn. There should be 4 stitches on top. Sc in first and second stitch. Ch 41, 2 hdc in 3rd ch from the hook and in remaining ch's. for spirals. When you reach the end of the ch, sc in the 3rd stitch (of the 4 on top of ear flap) and continue around until you get to the top of the second ear flap. Sc in first and second stitch. Ch 41, 2 hdc in 3rd ch from the hook and in remaining ch's. Sc i next 2 stitches, join to first sc with a sl st and finish off.
I would like to use Red heart super saver which is heavier. Can I use a smaller hook and get the same results for a child size?
ReplyDeleteProvided your increase rounds measure the same as mine you should be fine. So for child size measure after round 7. If the diameter is 6 inches you should be fine. If not adjust your hook size accordingly
DeleteThank you so much. I love this pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks ... my kiddies are going to look so adorable this week sporting their Kitty and Puppy Valentine Beanie. <3
ReplyDeleteMy daughters bf is due with her 1st(a girl) in October.. and we are starting now..making all different types of things; hats, blankets, toys, and this hat is Adorable..going to have to make another trip to Michael's this weekend--- need more wool...lol
ReplyDeleteDo you have a pattern for newborn size?
ReplyDeleteNo sorry I haven't
DeleteHi Teri,
ReplyDeleteRegarding the white ears, when you create the last stitch ( sc3tog) , shouldn't we ch1 or something to hold that last stitch firm before crocheting to the pink portion?
Are these the instructions you are talking about? Hold pink and white together and with white side facing you sc them together. Join to first sc with a sl st. Ch 1, turn. (pink side facing) sc around again. Join to first sc with a sl st and finish off.
DeleteIf so you ch 1 after you sl st to join them together, I can't see that there is anything stopping you from putting in a ch 1 before if you feel you need to though.
Thank you for the wonderful pattern. My 5 yo granddaughter loves it! She gets compliments whenever we're out and 1 of her teachers has asked for one as well lol.
