DIW#2 Mystery Scarf Blog Hop CAL

Hi everyone and welcome to part 6 of the Mystery Scarf CAL. I hope you are enjoying it so far.

Pretty much a bunch of amazing designers have got together and each of us are putting forward 5 rows of the pattern. There is no specified gauge, yarn or hook size so hopefully we get some very different scarfs at the end.

Personally I picked this nice cotton yarn out of my stash and am using a 4.5 mm crochet hook. I absolutely love the way it is turning out so far. I was surprised at how soft and stretchy it is working up.

Now for my 5 rows:






Abbreviations:

Ch - Chain
St - Stitch
Sc - Single Crochet
Dc - Double Crochet
Tr - Treble

Special Stitches:

Bobble - 5 dc bobble. Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 of the 3 loops on your hook, *yarn over and insert your hook into the same stitch again, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through the first 2 loops on your hook*. You should now have 3 loops on your hook. Repeat between * 3 more times. (6 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through all remaining loops on your hook.
V-st - dc, ch 1, dc.
Double v-st - 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc.

Row 26: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st/ch across. (40 sc)
Row 27: Ch 3, turn, dc into the next st, *bobble in next st, sc in next st* to last 2 stitches, dc in last 2 sts. (40 sts)
Row 28: Ch 3, turn, dc into the next st, *skip 2 st, v-st in next st* Repeat between * 5 times. Skip 3 sts, double v-st in next st. * skip 2 sts, v-st in next st. Repeat between * 5 times. Skip 2 sts, dc in last 2 sts. (4 dc, 10 v-sts, 1 double v st)
Row 29: Ch 6 (counts as tr + ch 2), turn, Skip 2 sts, tr in next st, *ch 2, skip 2 sts, tr in next st* Repeat till end of row. (14 tr, 26 chs)
Row 30: Ch 1, turn, Sc in each tr, 2 sc in each ch 2 space. (40 sc)
