To make this an 8 inch square continue alternating rounds 5-6 until it measures 8 inches. 

71st Granny Square

I crochet loosely so I used the pattern for the 8 inch square but only worked the pattern until round 7 then did a round of hdc to make it 8 inches,

To make this an 8 inch square, continue to dc in each stitch around and place 2 sc, ch 1, 2 dc into each corner until it measures 8 inches.
