Granny Square CAL (Week 18)

Welcome to week 18 of the Granny Square CAL. Please feel free to join us at any stage and share your squares with us on Facebook. I love seeing all the different colour combinations people are using. 

I am using a 5 mm crochet hook and dk/8ply yarn throughout. If you wish to find out more about this CAL please see Week One.

52nd Granny Square

To make this an 8 inch square:

Follow pattern, 

Round 7: Join yarn in any corner ch 2 sp. *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into corner, dc in each sc* Repeat 3 more times and join to top of first dc with a sl st.

Continue with round 7 until square measures 8 inches

To make this an 8 inch square continue around until square measures 8 inches. I ended up doing the last round in sc to get 8 inches.

To make this an 8 inch square I followed the pattern for rounds 1-5. For round 6 I did hdc instead of double crochet,

Round 7: Join yarn in corner sp,* (3 hdc, ch 3, 3 hdc) into the corner. Hdc in  each st and ch 1 space across* Repeat around. Join to top of first hdc with a sl st and finish off.
